Dresdener Stollen
A sweet loaf filled with rum-soaked raisins, candied fruit and crunchy almonds, Stollen's origins date back to the 1400s. The oblong shape and powder sugar coating are said to resemble baby Jesus in swaddled cloth; thus the name, Kriststollen. Christmas season is officially in swing in Europe when Stollen are being made. Röckenwagner Bakery offers our Stollen as a one-pound loaf or a two-pound loaf. The one-pound size is contained in both gift boxes.
